How foreign nationals can set up companies

Are you intending to become self-employed in Switzerland? The procedure for this differs according to your nationality.

Switzerland has a dual system for foreign nationals who intend to set up a business or company. Gainfully employed persons from EU/EFTA countries can take advantage of the Agreement on the Free Movement of Persons (AFMP). For nationals of all other countries (referred to as "third countries"), permission is issued only to limited numbers of well-qualified individuals.
